City: Madison, WI
Contract type: Full time

At Dungarvin, we're not just a national company; we're a family of caring, passionate, and dedicated team members working together nationwide to offer top-notch, community-based support. Our mission is simple: We're here to provide exceptional assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those facing mental health, behavioral, or significant medical challenges.

What You Will Do:

As Program Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the operations of the assigned residential programs, supervising both High Acuity and Traditional DD/IDD programs. The ideal Program Director candidate will have previous experience supervising staff and working with people with disabilities and challenging behaviors, as well as those requiring crisis management and behavioral interventions.

The Program Director will primarily oversee High Acuity settings but may also support Traditional settings on an on-call basis. In High Acuity settings, the Program Director is typically responsible for overseeing 1-2 program sites, usually with 1-2 residents per home, and will supervise approximately 10-12 Direct Support Professionals per program. In Traditional settings, the Program Director is typically responsible for a caseload of approximately 2-4 program sites, with a larger number of clients and a smaller number of direct reports per program.

The Program Director's caseload will primarily involve programs located in Dane County and may include travel to the Wisconsin Dells area.

As Program Director, you will also:

  • Oversee personnel management and program coordination, including but not limited to ensuring that staff complete orientation and ongoing training
  • Monitor all aspects of the programs, including but not limited to program implementation and development of clients' individual goals and plans
  • Facilitate coordination and management of the overall operations
  • Manage medical, financial, and maintenance aspects of the programs

This position is in-office, providing site supervision for direct care staff. This role involves typical office hours, Monday through Friday, full-time. Additionally, the Program Director must have a flexible schedule with the ability to be on-call when needed (this includes weekends and odd hours).

The starting salary for this position is $58,100 annually, with regularly scheduled pay increases.

This position is eligible for a $3,000 retention/sign-on bonus.

What We Look For:

  • Must have good decision-making and time-management skills
  • Ability to work successfully with a diverse population of individuals (employees and persons supported)
