Community and Family Resources is seeking a Housekeeper to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests which contributes to a positive treatment experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products
  • Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors as needed
  • In charge of vacuuming equipment; vacuums and cleans carpets, performs further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
  • Disposal of trash from bins and containers
  • Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
  • Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in private and public bathrooms
  • Change of linens, and gather used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed
  • Keep all public spaces neat and tidy
  • Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job

Schedule

  • Type: Full-time
  • Hours: 40+ hours each week, generally Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Education And Experience Qualifications

  • Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience; or knowledge, skills, and ability equivalent to 2 years of high school education.
  • Previous experience cleaning preferred.

Required Knowledge And Abilities

  • Ability to assist clients/guests when needed.
  • Ability to have attention to detail when cleaning.
  • Ability to be organized and to follow a schedule.
  • Ability to follow verbal directions.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information as mandated by various federal and state laws.
  • Knowledge of 42CFR and HIPAA and how confidentiality regulations apply to the agency.
  • In conjunction with other staff, assist in identifying and eliminating any situation which jeopardizes the health and/or safety of clients, staff, or others who come in contact with agency operations.
  • Ability to understand all policies/procedures and the ability to reference them from the agency’s manuals.
  • Ability to comply with the agency’s infection control policies/procedures including the Exposure Control plan which reflects OSHA Bloodborne pathogens standard to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Ensure the agency is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner by adhering to the agency’s attendance policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, regularly, and fluently in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge and ability to use web-based time keeping system.

Physical Demands

  • Physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time.
  • The staff member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The staff member may move between agency buildings, from office to office, to enable conferring with other staff members,
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
