Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This individual will play a critical role in financial reporting, analysis, and maintaining internal controls.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.

Review and reconcile financial data, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets.

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments.

Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Provide leadership, guidance, and training to accounting staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Assist with audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities as needed.

Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to mentor and develop staff.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
