Intern - Environmental - #9849026

Description

ECC is seeking an Intern to work with our environmental group supporting environmental projects and GIS duties in our Lakewood, CO office. This position may also be assisting with sampling events (groundwater, soils, etc.), assisting with groundwater elevation gauging events, assisting with landfill cap inspections and maintenance, and assisting with tasks at groundwater treatment plants.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in written and verbal formats
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to operate landscaping tools (mower, weed whacker)
• Ability to perform minor repairs/troubleshooting of equipment
• Education- This position requires a high school diploma and must be currently enrolled as a second, third, or fourth year student in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline, Environmental, Science field or Engineering.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in related field
• Familiarity with groundwater sampling techniques
• HAZWOPER 40-hr preferred, but can be provided
  
  
  

ECC targeted base pay-rate for this position is $18.50 hourly with 30-40 hours/wk anticipated.
