We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated People & Culture(P&C) Generalist! People & Culture is what we call our Human Resources team, and we bring Peace, Balance, and Support. The P&C Generalist will assist with a variety of HR functions including recruitment, sourcing, team member engagement initiatives, onboarding and more. The position will focus on our growing part-time team member population. The ideal candidate has significant talent acquisition background and is looking to broaden their capabilities within the other HR disciplines.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with departments to understand current staffing needs and assist with staffing & engagement action plans for 400+ part time team members
  • Part-time recruiting: Posting roles, reviewing resumes, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, crafting offer letters, etc.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates for a variety of part-time positions
  • Lead the community outreach efforts to build/strengthen partnerships to identify qualified candidates for roles
  • Lead new hire onboarding for team members
  • Collaborate with departments to host part-time team member engagement activities (i.e., Valley P.R.I.D.E., Spirit Week, Holiday Celebrations, Happy Hours)
  • Coach managers on key team member related issues; facilitates conflict resolution to address team member issues in a manner consistent with company policies, practices, and legal considerations
  • Partnering to drive targeted initiatives within People and Culture, emphasizing the development of robust process documentation and training materials
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance

What We Need From Our Generalist

  • Passion for team member engagement and delivering excellent service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures, including legal compliance requirements
  • Strong organization and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Capable of understanding and working with sensitive and confidential data and circumstances
  • Experience supporting distribution, retail, or event night staff
  • Initiative-taking individual who can manage both recruiting and engagement executions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Experience/ Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Post-graduate degree, training and/or HR certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of human resources experience

  • This position maintains a variable schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate based on the event calendar and schedule

  • S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Must be able to execute a conversation both on the phone and in-person.
