Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration, Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Office of Regulatory Science (ORS). The incumbent will be recognized as the technical authority in the analytical instrumentation platforms utilizing advanced extraction, separation and detection technologies used within an Office of Regulatory Science laboratory.

Duties

• Develops standardized maintenance procedures for the equipment and develops and implements all associated reports and required documentation.
• Provides training to the Office of Regulatory Science analytical staff on the maintenance, repair, and general service on analytical instrument platforms.
• Serves as a scientific advisor and technical expert to other Office of Regulatory Affairs field professionals.
• Performs all technical activities in accordance with established laboratory safety protocols.
