The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Life Coach. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, ASF provides annually more than 60 scholarships to the brightest and most talented college students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
As a Life Coach at ASF, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our scholarship recipients. In this role, you will provide guidance, support, and resources to help students achieve their personal and academic goals. You will work closely with students to develop strategies for success, enhance their problem-solving skills, and foster personal growth.
Responsibilities
Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with scholarship recipients to identify and address individual needs and goals.
Develop personalized plans and strategies to support students' academic and personal development.
Collaborate with students to improve time management, organization, and study skills.
Provide support and guidance in navigating personal challenges and transitions.
Monitor students' progress and offer ongoing feedback and encouragement.
Collaborate with other members of the ASF team to create and implement programs and initiatives that promote student success.
Stay updated on current research, techniques, and best practices in life coaching and higher education.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, education, or a related field.
Proven experience in coaching or mentoring individuals.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of student development theories and practices.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs and schedules of students.
Understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields is highly desirable.
