Americas business expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth is the appointment of a high-quality General Manger who is responsible for logistics,

warehouse management, and Pre-Delivery Inspection in Wilmington, NC for SANY America Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the Wilmington team, including warehouse, logistics, and PDI personnel. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, professional growth, and high performance. Collaborates with all departments in the best interests of SANY both at the site and in Peachtree City.
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Implement best practices for inventory control and accuracy.
  • Logistics Management: Develop and implement site logistics strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
  • Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Manage the PDI process to ensure that all equipment meets quality standards before delivery. Oversee inspection, testing, and preparation of equipment for delivery to customers.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies in warehouse, logistics, and PDI activities. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Active leadership for Gemba safety walks daily.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Address any logistics or PDI-related issues and work to resolve them promptly and effectively.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage the operational budget for the Wilmington location. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish visual management and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Use data to drive decision-making and improvements.
  • Staff Development: Provide training and development opportunities for warehouse, logistics, and PDI staff. Encourage continuous learning and skills development.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably as a General Manager, with a focus on warehouse, logistics, and PDI operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, logistics principles, and PDI processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational strategies and improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
