McConnell’s is looking for an accounting assistant to help with a variety of accounting tasks that help us make the finest ice cream in the world.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable: receive, verify, post, process and reconcile invoices.
• Manage accounts receivable: record customer payments, resolve collections issues, coordinate with sales staff on key account payments.
• Reconcile accounts: reconcile and balance bank and credit card statements
• Perform general accounting tasks: including maintaining vendor files, etc.

• Loves to work with numbers
• Has at least 1 year experience with QuickBooks (or can pass a QuickBooks skills test)
• Understands basic accounting principles
• Is extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Can work effectively with minimal supervision

• Has strong written and oral communication skills
• Is a natural problem solver
• Wants a job where they can learn, grow and advance

Experience

• 1-2 years full-time work experience in a job that requires strong numerical, organizational, and communication skills
