We are hiring an experienced executive to be our Head of Alternative Investments. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the company's alternative investment program while also participating with leadership in moving our strategic plan forward. What You’ll Do

• Lead the research and due diligence process for new alternative investment opportunities. Stay informed on market trends, emerging asset classes, and regulatory developments that could impact the portfolio.
• Develop and implement the firm’s alternative investment strategy, including asset allocation, investment selection, and portfolio management. Ensure that strategies align with client objectives and overall firm goals.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients with significant allocations to alternative investments. Communicate investment strategies, performance, and market outlooks effectively to clients.
• Maintain and expand the firm’s network of industry contacts, including fund managers, institutional investors, and service providers. Represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
• Ensure that all alternative investment activities comply with applicable regulations and internal policies. Work closely with compliance and legal teams to manage risk and ensure transparency in reporting.
• Identify and capitalize on new investment opportunities in the alternative space. Lead initiatives to expand the firm’s capabilities in emerging areas such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing, impact investing, and digital assets.
  
  

Competencies And Skills

• Extensive experience in an alternative investments program preferably with SEC RIAs and/or Fintechs. Particular consideration given to candidates who have experience with quickly scaling businesses, and candidates who have experience particularly at the intersection of tech and wealth management.
• Strong understanding of private equity, hedge funds, real estate, venture capital, and other alternative asset classes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide strategic guidance to senior management.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and innovate outside the scope of existing resources
• Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up / technology-centric environment
• Ability to translate ambiguous circumstances into clear, actionable next steps to help others navigate change
