Caregiver for Senior Care

Job Summary:

Varco Home Health and Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide senior care services to our clients in Montgomery, Texas. This is a part-time, hourly position for an individual contributor. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing assistance with daily activities and supportive care to help improve the quality of life for our senior clients. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and is committed to providing high-quality care.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $14 - $16 per hour. Pay will be received biweekly. In addition, Varco Home Health and Hospice offers a supportive and collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued and appreciated.

Requirements:

Specific Skills and Experience Required:

• Hoyer Lift Experience: The candidate must have experience using a Hoyer lift independently.
• Sit and Stand Exposure: While direct experience is not necessary, the candidate should be aware of its intended use.
• Catheter Experience: The ability to empty the bag and provide penile care to a client with a catheter is required.
• Bed Bound Care
• Transfer Sheet Experience
• Perineal Care for a Client with a Sacral Wound
• Bed Bath Experience
  
  
  

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Used:

• Electric Chair
• Hoyer Lift (Sling and Leg Lifts)
• Geri Bed (A bed that pivots at the center to turn from a bed to a chair)
• Leg Braces
• Foot Slings
• Electrode Machine for Stimulation
  
  
  

2-3 Year Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in senior care, preferably with a home health agency or hospice
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
