Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Clerk to join our team. As an AP Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording invoices, maintaining vendor files, and assisting with month-end closing activities.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm $14.84 an hour

Responsibilities

• Process and record invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Verify and reconcile vendor statements
• Maintain vendor files and ensure all necessary documentation is properly filed
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
• Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
  
  

Requirements

Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Proven experience with computers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
