Laboratory Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development, implementation, and delivery of diagnostic laboratory services, including inpatient, outpatient, and reference work.
• Manage and administer departmental resources efficiently, ensuring the highest standards of patient-centered care.
• Provide advanced clinical expertise and education to laboratory staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the laboratory and support the hospital in meeting JCAHO, CAP, OSHA, and CLIA 88 accreditation standards.
• Act as the Laboratory Compliance Officer, ensuring compliance with all billing regulations.
• Contribute to the hospital's Service Excellence Program, improving patient care, and enhancing employee and physician satisfaction.
• Participate in HCAHPS and Core Measure Set initiatives, which assess and improve patient care based on the latest medical research.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related science.
• At least five years of general laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a Director or Manager in a clinical laboratory, preferably in an acute care setting.
