Description

This position is a one-year contract opportunity that requires a trainer/content developer to assist with the implementation of Child Welfare training modules. The role involves statewide travel, up to 30% of the time, which may include some evenings and weekends.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services is looking for contract resources to aid in the training and implementation of the Child Welfare Information System (CWIS). The primary responsibilities include analyzing CWIS functionality to develop and deliver classroom facilitator-led learning solutions and eLearning courses. You will collaborate closely with the Training Lead, Business and Agile Teams, the Development Team, and other subject matter experts to understand requirements, design training programs, and create course materials.

Responsibilities also entail developing and maintaining Adobe FrameMaker templates and scripts, as well as maintaining and revising training materials for adult learners. Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing effective and innovative classroom and virtual facilitation of training for all levels of employees overseeing and administering Child Welfare programs within CWIS.

Travel and Expenses

  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed following the state's protocols after travel.
  • The contractor may ride with an employee in a state vehicle or drive their personal vehicle, receiving mileage reimbursement afterward.
  • Per diem is directly paid to the contractor, and most hotel expenses will be billed directly to the state.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience in training development and facilitation.
  • Proficiency in developing eLearning materials.
  • Ability to analyze system functionalities and translate them into effective training solutions.
