Summary: The role of the Junior Accountant is to coordinate and review all accounting functions and financial statements in a timely fashion using QuickBooks Online.

- Help prepare financial statements as well as gather and analyze information needed to prepare journal entries.
- Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports, making corrections as needed.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the year-end financial audit, preparing schedules and addressing auditor requests.
- Pursue efficiencies and process improvement opportunities.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee attendance, overtime, and leave balances.
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll funding and reporting.
- Manage and process employee payroll deductions.
- Administer and manage employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Provide support in employee relations programs and events.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS.
- Support the HR team with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Timely tax payments, monthly filings, quarterly filings for states as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Prior accounting experience is a plus, but if you’re willing and eager to learn, we will train you!
- Proficiency in Excel, Access or SQL is preferred.
