About The Role

Designblendz is seeking a dedicated and NCIDQ certified Interior Designer to join our expanding Interior Design Department. As we aim to grow nationally, we are looking for a committed individual who embodies the core values of our organization: never settle, honesty + integrity, passion, quality with quantity, leading by example, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design Execution: Complete interior design assignments from concept to completion, applying a keen understanding of design principles and project requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Support the management of existing client relationships and assist in developing new project opportunities, ensuring client satisfaction through diligent communication and service.
  • Project Communication: Maintain consistent and timely communication within project teams and with clients, contributing to our reputation for reliability and client satisfaction.
  • Support Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation and presentation of project proposals, bringing creative insights that align with leadership strategies.
  • Vendor Relations: Help maintain our resource library by updating vendor contacts and ensuring materials are current and relevant, accessible to all staff.
  • Advocate for Design: Support the promotion of Designblendz's portfolio, contributing to the education of clients and peers about our work while advocating for design excellence.
  • Engage in Business Development: Participate in marketing proposals, attend conferences, and engage in interviews as part of our broader business development efforts.
  • Contribute to Portfolio Management: Assist in managing design competition submissions and oversee project documentation to enhance the firm's portfolio.

Requirements

  • Interior Design Proficiency: Solid understanding of interior design principles, adherence to industry codes and standards, and skilled in creating detailed design development and construction documents.
  • Revit Knowledge: Familiarity with Revit is highly regarded as we are a Revit-based office.
  • Project Involvement: Experience in participating in design projects, including understanding fee structures, schedules, and budgets.
  • Problem Solving: Innovative and proactive approach to problem-solving, capable of delivering effective solutions to design challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying ideas clearly and engaging effectively with both clients and team members.
  • Business Awareness: Basic understanding of business development concepts and financial terminology, and the ability to support project proposals and understand project budgeting.
