Our A&R Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:

• Care for our patients daily by obtaining vital signs, assessing their behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift
• Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior
• Maintain a therapeutic and appropriate relationship adhering to staff/patient boundaries
• Carry out patient pat-down/contraband search of patient and their belongings
• Inventory patients’ belongings at moment of intake assessment.
• Take and record vital signs and report abnormalities to Charge Nurse
• Assist patientswith verbal de-escalation when they are agitated
• Provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
• Identify patients at risk and implement procedures to monitor and reduce at risk factors
  
  

Please apply if you have the following qualifications for an A&R Mental Health Technician:

• High School Degree or equivalent preferred.Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred
• At least one (1) year of related experience in psychiatric or behavioral health strongly preferred
• Psychiatric Technician: 1 year (preferred)
• Additional Requirements: Successful completion of BLS and Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures
  
  

Shifts available: 7:00AM - 7:00PM and 7:00PM - 7:00AM

• Earn weekday and weekend night shift differential!
