The Director, Global IT Operations is a newly created role where you will be responsible and will play a critical role in leading and managing our global team of engineers while ensuring the smooth, consistent operation and optimization of our IT infrastructure and systems across multiple geographical locations. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering cultural sensitivity, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology services that align with our business objectives. This position is part of the Infrastructure Operations & Platforms organization and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA or US Remote role. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build a newly created organization supporting all aspects of Cepheid’s infrastructure organization.
  • Create focus and alignment around process, standard work and establishing a focus on DBS (Danaher Business Systems).
  • Develop a culture of coaching, mentoring and development with engineers and other technical leaders reporting to you.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and software systems, across different geographical locations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors Degree with 14+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 12+ years of experience.
  • 4+ years managing people leaders
  • 7+ years leading and managing complex IT Infrastructure projects and Operations across multiple geographical locations.
  • 10+ years monitoring IT performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and present reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficient understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • This role required 25-50% travel, must be willing and able to travel.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong cultural sensitivity and experience working with teams from different cultural backgrounds, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing complex IT infrastructure projects and operations across multiple geographical locations.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse global team.
  • Relevant certifications in the infrastructure and security space.

The salary range for this role is $185,000 - $200,000 USD . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
