Description

The Administrative Director of Emergency Services Department plays a critical role in ensuring service quality, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation within the Emergency Department. You will oversee the main Emergency Department (ED) and two Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs).

The main ED is supported by a dedicated director and has two managers, with an additional manager responsible for both FSEDs. FSED volume includes Grand Prairie (50-55 patients a day) and Red Oak (25 patients a day).

Key Metrics Include

  • Comprehensive stroke accreditation
  • Chest pain accreditation
  • 54 ER beds
  • Trauma level 2
  • Patient volume of 230-250 patients per day
  • Approximately 125 FTEs with 4 direct reports

You will report to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) and work to enhance physician engagement while maintaining high employee engagement levels, recognized as one of the highest in the division last fall. Currently, there is an opportunity to improve patient experience, largely impacted by turnover, and you will focus on rebuilding the team through internships and internal development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations of the Emergency Department and FSEDs.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and service delivery.
  • Manage personnel, resources, and development.
  • Improve patient experience and reduce turnover through team rebuilding initiatives.

Salary And Benefits

  • Salary Range:
    • Minimum: $133,491
    • Mid: $166,858
    • Maximum: $180,000 (depends on experience)
  • Annual Bonus: Potential of up to 15%, with a multiplier from last year that could result in 22.5%, based on hospital performance.
  • Sign-On Bonus: Case by case basis pending HR approval (not guaranteed).
  • Relocation Package: Case by case basis.
