Objectives

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to align with client requirements.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to monitor construction progress and resolve issues.
  • Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluations and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee project budgeting and cost control, managing change orders to adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess project progress and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders.

Your Tasks

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and specifications.
  • Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts and change orders.
  • Conduct regular meetings to facilitate communication and meet project objectives.
  • Provide updates and reports on project status, including milestones and budget updates.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Conduct project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a high-performance work environment.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including effective planning and organizing.
  • Proficiency in reading technical documents and interpreting blueprints.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certification in project management, such as PMP or LEED certification.
  • Knowledge of risk management and budget management principles.
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and approval processes.
  • Proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
  • Experience with construction contract negotiations and claims management.
  • Familiarity with lean construction principles and methodologies.
  • Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
