Job Summary

As a Med/Surg Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will manage and oversee patient care, ensuring effective coordination and communication among the healthcare team. This role requires a proactive approach to patient assessment, care planning, and response evaluation to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Build and maintain professional therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.

Advocate for patient needs and maintain ethical standards in care delivery.

Educate patients, families, and community members, empowering them with knowledge to make informed healthcare decisions.

Collaborate with colleagues and the broader community to develop comprehensive care plans.

Utilize problem-solving strategies effectively to enhance patient care.

Commit to personal and professional growth by contributing to the development of peers and participating in community service.

What Will Make You Successful

In-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.

Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Proficiency in medical terminology, health promotion, disease management, and understanding medication effects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong Problem-solving Abilities And Critical Thinking Skills.

Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

License/Certification: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.
