About the PositionARC is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the position of Director of Community Programs. In this full-time role, you will lead the department and manage a comprehensive portfolio of patient support and healthcare provider education programs. You will oversee and mentor a small team, cultivate a collaborative culture that fosters innovation and impact, and expand ARC’s programs to support a diverse community of patients and healthcare providers.

As a member of ARC’s leadership team, you will report directly to the President & CEO, and play a crucial role in achieving the organization’s goals through strategic planning and the implementation of key initiatives. ResponsibilitiesProgram Development And Management

  • Oversee the creation and execution of ARC’s patient support and healthcare provider education programs, ensuring they are effectively meeting the community's needs.
  • Supervise the Community Programs team to ensure programs are executed optimally, setting performance standards, monitoring prograss, and implementing improvements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align and enhance programs with ARC’s strategic goals, and evaluate and develop new initiatives to drive departmental growth.
  • Develop and manage the budget for patient support and healthcare provider education programs and initiatives, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on program outcomes, impact metrics, and budget expenditures.
  • Lead the creation of compelling funding proposals for sponsors and grant submissions.
  • Collaborate with the development team to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and execute strategies to engage and support a broad, diverse community of stakeholders.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including patient organizations, healthcare providers, and rare disease organizations.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders to enhance patient advocacy efforts.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with ARC’s mission and values.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain a current knowledge of amyloidosis, treatment options, and the research landscape.
  • Collaborate with other teams to maximize program impact and ensure they meet patients’ needs.
  • Perform other duties as required and appropriate to the position.

Skills And Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of proven experience in the nonprofit sector or related industries, demonstrating a solid background in strategic management and operational leadership. Experience in patient support and advocacy, as well as program development and management within rare diseases or healthcare, is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring direct reports, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to professionally represent the organization in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Passion for non-profits, health equity, patient engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. Ability to be flexible, compassionate, and creative, while maintaining a sense of humor.
  • Experience utilizing MS Office, Salesforce, project management tools such as Wrike, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project, and document management systems such as Box.

110,000 - 130,000 USD per year(Remote)
