Industrial Electrical Technician - Installation & Maintenance

Description

Recore Electrical Contractors is currently accepting applications for Electricians and Top Helpers. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of industrial electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan installations to minimize waste and provide future access, avoiding hazardous and unreliable wiring per code.
• Follow blueprints ensuring wiring installation prior to completion of walls, ceilings, or floors.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit.
• Pull wiring through conduit, splice wire, and connect wiring to lighting and power equipment.
• Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches and circuit-breaker panels.
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustments.
• Follow state and local building regulations and the National Electric Code during the installation process.
  
  

Requirements

• At least 1 year of electrical experience in industrial settings.
• Ability to install conduit, wire, and cable systems as required.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Basic hand tools are required.
• Familiarity with NEC Standards and electrical codes.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable transportation.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
