Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Service Advisor is responsible for serving as a liaison between the customer and technicians - which involves scheduling repairs, assigning work to technicians, preparing repair orders, billing repair orders, entering work orders into the computer system, and ordering shop supplies according to procedures.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Pay: $53,000 to $80,000 depending on experience

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Process all shop repair orders by scheduling & assigning work to shop Associates.
• Document and diagnose necessary repairs by taking photographs.
• Provide effective communication to customers regarding their job orders by preparing estimates for repair work and parts; monitor job schedules to ensure timeliness of repairs and job pricing.
• Work closely with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorization and documentation relating to repair work.
• Complete invoicing and collecting procedures in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory of parts, paint, and materials necessary for repair functions.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of related automotive repair facility or heavy-duty truck experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows. Must possess demonstrated skills in computer-generated business systems.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL required, or ability to obtain.
• Dependable and reliable attendance required.
