The R&D Technician will support the engineering staff in designing and building medical device prototypes, sustaining engineering, and testing existing medical devices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute the building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Produce and inspect products to ensure they meet acceptable quality levels.
- Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct product testing and collect data according to medical device standards.
- Read, understand, and apply established procedures.
- Maintain orderly and safe working conditions, performing all duties in accordance with established procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- Ensure the accuracy of Traceability Forms used during product manufacturing.
- Operate specific equipment as assigned by engineering, following accepted work instructions at acceptable efficiency levels.
- Regularly perform set-ups and adjustments of assigned equipment.
- Establish good working relationships with all levels of operations.
- Cross-train co-workers when required.
- Assist in developing process documentation (manufacturing procedures, test methods, trace forms, inspection procedures, etc.).
- Perform other assignments as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience. Medical device manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
