Final Mile Ops Specialist - remote

Experienced Final Mile Operations Dispatch/Router

Allegro Home Delivery is a fast-growing company beginning to disrupt the last mile home delivery market. We are currently looking for a motivated and energetic person with route, contract, and agent management knowledge to join our team. We are seeking a Final Mile Operations Specialist to manage daily route planning and coordinating for orders generated by our customers to be distributed to consignee homes.

Primary Role:

Optimize cost and efficiency across the country while providing exemplary customer service to external and internal customers. You will accomplish this by designing effective routing that uses the optimal partner for the required service in the specified market. You will multi-task while adhering to time sensitive deadlines, which requires high attention to detail and the ability to focus intensely for extended periods. Customer Service skills are necessary and will be used extensively.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all shipment and trace shipment routes
• Assist customer service with tracking and address any problems or complaints with the delivery agents within the local market
• Meet customer deadlines and provide accurate reporting through data extracts
• Identify delivery agent shortfalls and remediate/reconcile
• Identify complex problems by reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Apply logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to problems
• Ensure proper order assignment, verification, and tender to the proper partners in the required market
• Ensure that cost and performance metrics are maintained
• Determine the correct routing by managing the daily metrics
• Work within our Order Management System (OMS) to ensure that all pickups and deliveries are being maintained to Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) standards
• Communicate to team that routing is complete daily
• Other assigned daily duties as required by workflow
• Utilizing Customer Service skills in all areas

• Results oriented, desire and drive for continuous improvement of self and team
• Fundamental understanding of transportation and logistics concepts
• Previous route planning experience
• Previous freight forwarding experience
• Proficient in Microsoft products
• Bi-Lingual a plus
• Account Management experience a plus
  
  

Ability to work some Saturdays and shifts between 7a and 7p local time
