What You Will Do
- Supervise and lead a logistics team, fostering a positive culture and setting operational goals.
- Own logistics operations, collaborating with upstream teams for transportation planning, logistics coordination, record management, and execution.
- Drive continuous improvements by conducting necessary training, monitoring performance, and providing feedback to the operations teams.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external customers, teammates, and carriers to provide high-quality service.
- Utilize critical thinking to evaluate options and resolve unplanned events with carriers, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing additional charges.
- Experience in the logistics, warehousing, international shipments, or transportation industry.
- Experience coaching and developing employees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience utilizing data to drive action and influence decision-making.
- Experience in dispatching or planning within the Transportation/Logistics industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Experience managing logistics contractors/vendors.
