Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator side of the position will support the Service Excellence Operations Manager with delivering equipment and personnel required to support local operations. Ensuring the planning, mobilization, and demobilization activities are efficiently and effectively directed and supported.

The Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the radiation safety program. The RSO ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding the use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment. This role involves monitoring radiation levels, providing training to staff, and maintaining comprehensive safety records.

This is an office / onshore US based position out of the Broussard, Louisiana location. Ability to travel frequent to inspection sites and on-call availability for emergency response.

Operations Coordinator

Duties & Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with Global Mobility, understanding overall utilization of field personnel, ensuring field personnel compliance and competencies match project requirements.
  • Assist Operations Manager in evaluations of the field support staff.
  • Coordinates with Training & Competency department to identify and provide all offshore personnel training, regulatory compliance and competency.
  • Organizes teams in support of operational excellence initiatives as directed by Operations Manager.
  • Participates in all HSE, Quality and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure all inspections comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare inspection plans, procedures, and schedules in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with Global Mobility, ensures field personnel have a clear and effective journey management plan, managing the journey stages along the way and reacting in a timely manner to any variations.
  • Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and certification of offshore equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment inspections, certifications, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all inspection operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inspection-related queries and issues.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inspection activities, personnel, and equipment status.
  • Facilitate effective communication between onshore and offshore teams.
  • All other duties assigned.

Radiation Safety Officer (rso)

  • Develop and implement radiation safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain the Radiation Safety Manual and update as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to agencies such as the NRC, EPA, and OSHA.
  • Obtain and manage necessary licenses and permits for the use of radioactive materials.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of radiation safety practices.
  • Perform routine surveys of radiation areas, including equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor radiation exposure levels of personnel and maintain dose records.
  • Calibrate radiation detection instruments and ensure proper functioning.
  • Develop and implement emergency procedures for radiation incidents.
  • Respond to radiation emergencies and spills, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Conduct post-incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of radiation use, disposal, and personnel exposure.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of radioactive material inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies, management, and staff regarding radiation safety issues.

Required

Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in radiation safety with a focus on inspections and compliance
  • Previous experience with planning, organizing and administration of activities and personnel
  • Previous Integrity Management experience including personnel logistics.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using radiation detection and monitoring equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention details.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and any other regionally mandated offshore work requirement documents as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

DESIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Additional Information

Working Conditions

This position is considered ONSHORE / OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
  • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
  • Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels and the light are intense/glare.
  • Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
  • Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
  • Work surface is stable, height is elevated.
  • Exposure to radiation in controlled settings.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • On-Call availability for emergency response.
