Security Benefit is searching for an HRIS Specialist with proven experience to join our team. This position will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas or our Overland Park, Kansas office, and report to the Director, HCM. SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work.

What Does the Job Look Like?

  • Serves as a support person within the HCM team supporting the full suite of modules within Dayforce
  • Provides regular day-to-day operational, technical and troubleshooting support and assistance to end users
  • Manage and maintain overall data integrity within Dayforce by conducting regular data and process audits
  • Assists with configuration and testing of all modules within Dayforce
  • Assists with upgrades, enhancements, data integration and system implementations
  • Develops and tests reports within Dayforce as required
  • Assists with gathering HR business requirements and makes recommendations for efficiency and optimization for overall end user experiences
  • Assists and maintain with preparation of training materials, guides, and operating procedure documentation, as necessary
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in Human Capital Management systems
  • Provides support for Human Resource projects as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the team

Who Are You?

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field with technical (Information Systems/Information Technology) experience preferred
  • One to Two years HRIS administration, operational, and technical experience; Dayforce preferred
  • Demonstrated data report writing skills and the ability to articulate report parameters to deliver usable business information; SQL and XML experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills including advanced experience with Excel
  • Ability to analyze documentation and communicate detail in both verbal and written form
  • Strong work ethic including working with and keeping confidentiality of data
  • Commitment to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
  • Highly detailed and a willingness to ask questions
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority assignments concurrently and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment
  • Evident interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities
