Reporting to the Director, Communications and Artist Relations the Social Media Specialist supports Meyer Sound’s global communications with a focus on the company’s social media channels. The Social Media Specialist will support day-to-day operations, promotions and projects in the Communications area of Marketing. This is a full-time non-exempt position earning $26.46 - $60.06 per hour.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the strategic planning of content creation for the company’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and other platforms.
  • Assess social platforms and engagement opportunities as they trend to optimize content. placement for maximum results; strategically boosting posts to drive reach/engagement.
  • Optimize content for Meyer Sound’s audience and channels to build brand awareness and ultimately drive sales by reinforcing key messaging with calls to action.
  • Manage the social media calendar to coincide with company milestones such as trade shows and product launches.
  • Develop plans for the procurement of content such as video, photos and text.
  • Collect content in the field at events such as festivals, demos or trade shows.
  • Support editorial photo processing and archiving of photo/video content.
  • Work across Meyer Sound departments to gather content for use on social media.
  • Interface with external-facing audiences from trade shows and festivals to customers to develop relevant content for our platforms.
  • Understand the targeting tools of social media to reach specific audiences and increase engagement with decision-makers and stakeholders in pro audio and beyond.
  • Compile monthly metrics from the company’s social media platforms to evaluate best engagement practices with these tools.
  • This position includes domestic and international travel.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Committed, collaborative individual with a great attitude
  • 3-5 Years of Experience managing social media platforms, both in content creation for daily output as well as longer-term strategic planning
  • Knowledge and/or willingness to learn Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Excel, Keynote, Photoshop, Vimeo, WordPress, PR monitoring and reporting tools, and project management tools including Bynder and Wrike
  • Willingness to learn use of pro level camera, Osmo and/or Go Pro video cameras
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them for a broad audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with ease and grace
