About The Role
Berkeley Ironworks is seeking a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Body Mechanics Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kinesiology or body mechanics education and experience as a CrossFit and group class instructor. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals and is flexible in their teaching styles and modalities.

About The Role
Berkeley Ironworks is seeking a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Body Mechanics Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kinesiology or body mechanics education and experience as a CrossFit and group class instructor. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals and is flexible in their teaching styles and modalities.
The trainer will lead group fitness classes while providing guidance and support to our members and guests. Responsibilities include:
- Design and implement safe and effective exercise programs for class participants of all fitness levels
- Lead group fitness instruction
- Provide guidance and support to class participants to help them achieve their fitness goals
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working condition; alert management if there are concerns
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and research to continuously improve the quality of service provided
- NASM Certified Personal Trainer
- Education or background in kinesiology or body mechanics
- Experience as a CrossFit and group class instructor
- Flexible in teaching styles and modalities
- (Available to teach on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm)
- Additional certifications in relevant areas such as Yoga, Pilates, or Strength and Conditioning
- Experience with a variety of training modalities such as HIIT, strength training, and cardio
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals
- Starting Pay is $34.00/hour. Fitness Instructor individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
