We are seeking a highly energized, detail oriented and organized individual with a positive attitude who will thrive in our professional office environment serving as a Bookkeeping Associate for our Tax Planning, Preparation and Bookkeeping business unit. The Bookkeeping Associate will work directly with clients on all of their bookkeeping matters.

The Bookkeeping Associate plays a pivotal role in day-to-day interaction with clients. If you have a desire to succeed in a team environment this may be the perfect job for you!

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding/classifications
  • Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, journals and ledgers for our clients
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when applicable
  • Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Answers, troubleshoots, and problem-solve incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and occasional in-person requests for assistance from the firm’s existing clients, new or prospective bookkeeping clients, staff, and other entities.
  • Ensures all client interactions and relationships are successful and that we provide and maintain exceptional client care and service.
  • Informing prospects/clients of firm processes
  • Timely and accurately schedule appointments when necessary.
  • Clerical functions such as entering info into databases and spreadsheets, filing, faxing, scanning, copying, and mailing documents.


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proficiency in using various Bookkeeping software packages such as QuickBooks (online and desktop), Xero, etc
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and dependable
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and client service skills.
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • Multi-tasking ability


Education/Experience

  • Associates or Bachelors College degree preferred.
  • Bookkeeping experience is required.
  • QuickBooks experience is required
  • Excel is required


This is an in-person part-time position.
