Starting Salary: $28.61$31.31 (depending on experience)

About This Position

This Human Resources Analyst job is a technical and administrative position. This role combines the duties of an HRIS analyst with an HR data analyst to complete duties like administering the pension system, adding entries in the HRIS system, assisting Payroll with reports, and more. The work of an HR analyst can be of a highly confidential nature and involves the skilled use of a computer and HR software.

Responsibilities

  • Enter data into HRIS software such as adding new employees, salary changes, address changes, etc.
  • Assist with, prepare, and maintain spreadsheets for the annual department budget
  • Act as administrator and assist employees with HR related software, including security/door access for City buildings
  • Administer the civilian pension systems
  • Assist Payroll with distribution and options for separated employees, enacting and preparing exhibits for court orders, etc.
  • Liaise with retirement consultants, the City Treasurer, and employees for City's 457 and 401 Deferred Compensation Plans
  • Complete the marketing of plans and updating retirement plan information on the City's intranet
  • Assist Payroll with processing payments, reports, etc.
  • Maintain and update tables within HRIS software and externally, including city wide salary tables, job code tables, etc.
  • Complete the EEO4 bi-annual report, bi-weekly state new hire reporting, E-Verify reporting on new employees, and other required employment reports
  • Maintain personnel budget spreadsheets and enter all information for City-wide position budgeting
  • Schedule random drug testing and annual PFT or TB testing, and enter information into the HR system

Qualifications

  • General knowledge equivalent to 2 years of college
  • 4 years of related experience and/or training
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 19 to 23 months of management experience
    • People and/or project management
  • Advanced Excel experience, math, and computer skills (preferred)
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Necessary Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Ability to learn and be proficient with a variety of software modules such as HRIS, budget, pension, etc.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written format
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
  • Ability to analyze and identify errors, inaccuracy, and incompleteness in documentation and processes, then troubleshoot and implement solutions
  • Ability to travel locally or overnight to conduct business or attend events
  • Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
  • Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
