Job Summary

Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking an Avionics Engineering Co-op _______.

Assist the Avionics Engineering department with the design, integration, and testing of avionics systems on Cirrus aircraft and/or test benches. Systems include flight instruments, avionics, communication, navigation, lighting, and safety systems.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
  • Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in scripting languages Perl or Python preferred but not required.
  • Aviation experience preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Requirements

  • Must be upper division student within two years of graduation.
  • Must be pursuing relevant degree.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to complete entire duration of co-op.
  • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of co-op.
