Job Description

Job Duties:

Design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develop and code software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a data scientist-related occupation.

Position requires:

  • Mathematics using principles including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Graph Theory, and Discrete Math;
  • Probability and statistics using principles including probability distribution, standard deviation, Bayesian and frequentist Statistics, and Dimension Reduction;
  • Programming languages including, Python, SQL, Java, and Scala;
  • Tools including PySpark, Keras, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Tensorflow, and Huggingface;
  • Time-Series Analysis;
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP);
  • A/B Testing;
  • Machine Learning; and
  • Predictive Data Analytics.

US: Hiring Range: from $109,100 - $223,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  • Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
