Patient Education Specialist Associate- Remote

Responsible for the development, organization and maintenance of patient education content across various platforms, which includes developing materials that help patients understand their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Ensures that educational materials are accurate, accessible, and engaging for patients of diverse backgrounds and health literacy levels.

Principle Responsibilities

• Creates patient education content across various platforms
• Create patient education content in multiple formats (articles, brochures, infographics, scripts for videos, etc.) utilizing Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and/or working with content vendors to achieve content goals.
• Adapt complex medical information into easy-to-understand language for diverse audiences.
• Uploads new and updated patient education to the intranet catalog and document management portals of printing vendors.
• Update and maintain existing patient education materials and clinician approvals for archiving.
• Ensures content is relevant and accessible
• Conduct research to stay current on medical topics and patient education best practices.
• Manage translations process for patient education content.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Health Education, Medical Writing, or related field
• 1+ years experience in content creation, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Experience with various content creation tools and platforms including Adobe InDesign and MS Office 365

• Fully remote position for candidates who reside in MN, WI, ND, SD, IA, FL and TX
• 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week period)
• Day, 8-hour shifts
• No weekends
• Benefit-eligible position
