We are currently seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager PE to join our esteemed organization and lead our engineering team to new heights. This pivotal role requires a candidate with extensive experience in engineering management, particularly in design-build and plan & specification projects. We are looking for a visionary leader who is passionate about optimizing engineering processes and driving project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering operations with a primary focus on design-build projects and plan & specification work.
  • Conduct detailed site evaluations and assess existing building systems.
  • Compile comprehensive documentation sets for project management teams.
  • Interpret contract documents and deliver favorable interpretations.
  • Develop efficient work methodologies while preparing sketches and drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and industry standards, especially regarding plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee estimating processes, including equipment procurement and subcontractor selection.
  • Optimize project management strategies to enhance profitability.

Required Skills

  • Profound knowledge of design-build methodologies.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering plans and specifications.
  • Exceptional documentation and organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) stamp in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island is mandatory, with an openness to obtain additional state licenses.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management, particularly in design-build and plan & specification projects.
