My client provides a full suite of accounting and taxation services, alongside personalized investing, wealth management, and financial planning solutions for both individuals and businesses. Their mission is to help clients achieve financial success through a holistic approach that integrates tax strategy, financial planning, and wealth management. I am seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join my clients dynamic team and help drive tax strategy for their clients.

Position Overview: The Tax Manager will play a crucial role in managing tax compliance and planning for their clients. You will work closely with individuals and businesses, providing strategic tax advice, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and minimizing tax liabilities. As part of their leadership team, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth and success of our tax services department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Provide expert tax advice to clients on various matters, including income tax, estate tax, and international tax
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities for clients
• Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
• Assist in the management of tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax strategies with clients’ overall financial plans, including wealth management and personal financial planning
• Train and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and technical support
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive tax solutions tailored to their individual or business needs
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation or CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in tax management, ideally in a public accounting or financial services environment
• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and compliance at the federal, state, and local levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial systems
