Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm with daily and weekend OT as needed.

2nd Shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm with daily and weekend OT as needed.

3rd Shift: 10:45pm - 7:15am with daily and weekend OT as needed.

Pay Rate: $24.30

Plus Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd Shifts: $2.00 per hour

Job Description:

Brake Assist - The position will be responsible for assisting in press brake operation. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.

Shake/Sort - The position will be responsible for sorting parts into racks for delivery to press brakes. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.

Education / Experience / Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Previous shake experience preferred for Brake Assist
  
  
  

Activities / Tasks:

Brake Assist -

• Assists in set-up of brake
• Assists brake operator with the forming operation
• Place correct labels on parts and sorts to correct JIT kit
• Assists in inspection of parts
• Safely and effectively use tools such as hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment
  
  
  

Shake/Sort -

• Sort parts to appropriate racks for delivery to press brake
• Scan and sort the parts using the barcode system
• Separates parts from metal skeleton
• Safely and effectively use tools such as hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment
• Performs general house keeping
  
  
  

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to interpret, sort paper work, and engineering drawings correctly preferred, but not required
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools
• Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects
• Ability to apply shop mathematics to solve problems
• Ability to correctly and safety use hand tools (both manual and pneumatic)
• Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
• Ability to read effectively from a paper copy
• Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
