Vice President of Education & Curriculum

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vice President of Education and Curriculum is a key member of the executive team at YWCA McLean County, responsible for strategic decision-making related to education, curriculum, and youth programming. This role involves advising on personnel issues, building leadership skills, and coordinating mission-related training programs, such as racial justice and poverty simulations. The Vice President acts as second-in-command in the absence of the CEO/President. Supervisory duties include collaborating with the Vice President of Adult Services and Grants to ensure programming aligns with grant requirements, while providing oversight for Young Wonders, Strive, and RSVP. Both VP roles will contribute to various programming aspects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, business administration, or a related field, with 5+ years of management experience in a supervisory role required
- Required: experience in administering programs and grants, ensuring compliance, and managing budgets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with professionalism
- Must make sound decisions in both professional and public settings
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Experience with organizational finances and budgeting
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining quality and customer service
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must communicate clearly and concisely using various tools and methods
Preferred:
- Experience in grant writing
WORK HOURS
Full-time with benefits. Monday - Friday, with some evenings or weekends, as needed.
