Job Description:

The HPE programming environment and the operating environment teams are seeking an experienced software QA lead covering development tools. operating systems, and related software services components. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a cross-team quality initiative that leads to well-documented processes and plans.

This is a leadership role that requires close collaboration across multiple levels within the organization. The combined engineering team delivers key software components that run on the largest supercomputers. Strong candidates will have extensive experience driving quality initiatives within the HPC or AI space.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a QA team to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes within the organization.
  • Define test strategies and plans based on requirements gathered from stakeholders.
  • Review engineering requirements, test plans, and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Conduct QA audits to identify improvements and apply corrective measures.
  • Ensure that all software delivered meets quality expectations
  • AI -Driven Test Automation (nice to have)
  • Continuous Testing and Dev Ops
  • Advancements in QA keep up with the rapid pace of technology and ensure that supercomputers and their applications are reliable and efficient.

Education And Experience Required:

  • B.S or M.S. degree in a related software engineering field is required.
  • 5+ years prior experience in software QA testing and 2 years team leadership experience is required.
  • Certifications in software testing such as ISTQB or CMMI are highly desirable.
  • Experience in HPC or AI software development testing environments is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a cross-functional team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to produce dashboards and metrics-based QA summaries
