Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client in Shreveport, Louisiana. The successful candidate will be a critical part of our team, responsible for a range of bookkeeping duties, including maintaining accurate records, reconciling entries, and preparing financial reports. This role is situated within the industry of accounting and financial services. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Establishing a systematic approach for accounting financial transactions through the development of a chart of accounts and defining bookkeeping procedures.
• Verification, allocation, and posting of transactions to maintain accounts.
• Reconciling entries to ensure that accounts are balanced.
• Overseeing and balancing the general ledger.
• Filing documents to maintain quality historical records.
• Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information to prepare financial reports.
• Crafting Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing received payments, and recording deposits.
• Utilizing accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel for efficient bookkeeping.
• Managing accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Conducting annual budget planning and cash flow analysis.
• Utilizing Yardi for property management accounting.
• Maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial statements.
