Job Close Date 8/8/2024The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the AFSC/SW Management Representative responsible for skillfully managing the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program to ensure compliance with laws, directives, policies, and regulatory guidance as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for the overall investigative and hearing processes to resolve complaints in a timely manner. Collaborates with the installation EEO program managers on matters to successfully complete impartial investigations utilizing various strategic approaches to identify the root cause of the complaint and identify corrective action(s) needed. Prepares and presents findings orally and in written reports to Directorate Leadership and/or designated settlement authority. Assists and collaborates with the Staff Judge Advocate (JA) attorney during the EEOC stage to prepare case information and perform technical advisor duties during hearings. Assists other legal agencies in preparing EEOC case defenses filed in U.S. District Court by planning the overall investigative and hearing processes. Develops proposed settlement agreements and obtains approval prior to obtaining coordination from required parties. Responsible for investigating and developing responses to congressional inquiries, action line inquiries and various other types of complaints.

Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge and skills in the application of DoD, Joint and AF Management principles, concepts, methodologies and Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) and Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) directives, concepts, procedures guidance and policy.
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of program operations to devise methodologies in structuring options for complex, diverse organizations.
  • Skill in conducting interviews with supervisors and employees to obtain information about organizational missions, functions and work procedures.
  • Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs.
  • Incumbent may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
