Our client is seeking an experienced C# / SQL / EDI Developer for a remote contract role through the end of the year, with the possibility of extension or FTE conversion.
This individual will play a vital role in architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining data interchange systems with both external and internal partners and applications. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external clients to understand their data interchange requirements, translating business needs into designs for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned EDI software developer with expertise in C#, SQL, SSIS, Visual Studio, and .NET.
This individual must be proficient in EDI X12 transactions including 837, 835, 834, 820, 276/277, 997/999, XML.
Responsibilities:
This individual will play a vital role in architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining data interchange systems with both external and internal partners and applications. Responsibilities:
- Independently conceptualize and implement cost-effective EDI systems and programming solutions.
- Manage EDI workflows, including system maintenance, research, problem resolution, and on-call support.
- Creating and maintaining data maps to translate data between different formats (e.g., converting EDI formats to SQL database formats).
- Translate EDI-related business requirements into detailed technical specifications, designing new applications or enhancements.
- Conduct unit testing, collaborate on integration efforts, and provide technical support for complex EDI projects.
- Assist business partners in User Acceptance Testing processes.
- Provide guidance on best practices for EDI-related cloud platforms and contribute to cloud automation initiatives.
- Manage Code Asset Management for specific applications.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare EDI standards such as HIPAA, HL7, and ANSI X12.
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible roles involving EDI and DevOps, with at least 1 year dedicated to the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in EDI X12 transactions 837, 835, 834, 820, 276/277, 997/999.
- In-depth knowledge of C#, SQL, SSIS, Visual Studio, and .NET.
- Experience converting EDI X12 Standards into SQL databases.
