PAYROLL CLERK

Location: Remote

Setting: With the flexibility to go to Bronx office if needed

Bill Rate: $28.00/ hr

Schedule: 8:30am – 5:30pm

Contract Length: 3 to 4 weeks

Weekly Hours: 40

Job Purpose

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Temporary Payroll Clerk to support our payroll department. This role is essential for ensuring that payroll files are accurately pulled from our electronic system and processed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain all physical files chronologically and assist with digitalizing documents into Workday.
• Access and extract data from Workday as required.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of files before processing.
• Assist in updating and managing records within the system.
• Work closely with the payroll team to resolve any discrepancies or issues with files.
• Ensure that all files and processes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Retrieve and download documents from HRIS System (Workday).
• Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Organize and manage documents, ensuring they are filed or distributed to the appropriate database.
  
  

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Excellent telephone manners and customer service skills.
• An ability to work with staff and take instructions.
• Must be quality-oriented and detailed.
• Able to follow guidelines and handle confidential material.
• Proficient in using computer applications and software.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems preferred.
