Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director/Deputy Director. Performs a variety of clerical and/or administrative/paraprofessional functions in support of the SCYCA Job Challenge Program (JC). Supervise the JC Placement Coordinator. Assist Director with managing, planning, budgeting, staffing and operations of the Job Challenge Program. Coordinates program design, implementation and daily administrative activities. Monitor the Mission, Vision, Goals and Objectives of the SC Job Challenge Program. Coordinates service delivery processes for programs administered by an agency. Conducts special projects at management’s request, prepares and presents reports. Reviews program objectives to determine compatibility with agency’s mission; assesses programs and implements policy, procedure or rule changes. Connect and build partnerships with youth serving organizations, agencies and local/state businesses. Assist with short- and long-term strategic planning. Receives, processes and distributes incoming mail. Prepares letters, reports and other documents as necessary. Responsible for recruitment of cadets into the program from Youth Challenge program. Must be able to communicate effectively with the public, and colleagues providing excellent customer service skills to establish effective working relationships, multitask, meet deadlines and pay strong attention to detail. Must have the ability to effectively plan and organize work activities, and prioritize task to meet deadlines, and goals of the program. Oversees the activities of receiving, distribution and storage of supplies, associated program materials, coordinates the disposal of surplus property, and maintains appropriate records. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree or at least 6 years of related work experience, administrative experience and experience working with at-risk youth.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in related fields of Business Management/Administration, Social Work, or Counseling, 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth control. Supervisory or management experience.
