BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Director of Strategic Development & Alliances with 10+ years experience who will work closely with the President, Vice President, Director of Operations to identify and develop new business opportunities and build and maintain relationships with new stakeholders. This role plays an essential part in guiding the development of new opportunities aligned with the company's Vision, Mission, and Strategic Objectives. Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 USD to $120,000.00 USD plus Performance Based Profit Sharing.

Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's growth strategy
  • Provide strategic input on new initiatives and their alignment with business development goals
  • Report progress in bimonthly meetings and monthly reports


Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify and develop strategic partners and alliances with companies
  • Develop relationships with future Government and Commercial customers
  • Align strategic partners and alliances with future Government and Commercial customers
  • Capture the Subcontract and Prime contract opportunities


Develop and Maintain an Opportunity Pipeline

  • Leverage industry networks and partnerships to gain early insights into emerging opportunities
  • Qualify opportunities and participate in opportunity rack and stacks
  • Develop capture strategies to win identified opportunities
  • Perform capture on pursued opportunities


Negotiation and Deal Structuring

  • Lead negotiations with potential partners and stakeholders
  • Develop and structure partnerships and Teaming Agreements (TAs)
  • Ensure all parties' interests are addressed in collaborative arrangements
  • Assist in writing proposals and participating in color reviews


Strategic Interactions with Diverse Range of Stakeholders

  • Engage directly with members of the U.S. Congress, acquisition commands, senior military officials, and executives from both large and small enterprises
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of stakeholders' needs, interests, and potential areas for mutual collaboration
  • Create and deliver presentations that effectively communicate the company’s capabilities, innovations, and value propositions
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Engagement & Outreach
  • Proven experience in government relations, military engagement, or C-suite level business development
  • Strong networking skills and an established network of contacts within government, defense, and the private sector
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel – as required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION 5 years additional business management experience may be substituted for a Batchelor’s Degree.


Clearance

  • Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD Secret level Security Clearance.


Citizenship

  • The applicant must have US citizenship at time of application.
