Position Description

We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to oversee a team of financial analysts, providing direction and supporting financial reporting, analysis, and preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. This role involves analysis of various business functions, including advertising, incentives, and pricing actions. The candidate will also be involved in external financial reporting, such as SEC and investor relations matters, and internal financial reporting to senior executives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial analysts and provide direction.
• Perform complex financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor purchase requests and coordinate with accounting departments.
• Analyze advertising, incentives, and pricing actions.
• Support external financial reporting (e.g., SEC and investor relations).
• Prepare internal financial reports for senior executives.
• Coordinate financial reporting with various company brands and functions.
  
  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor and track costs.
• Perform budget variance analysis.
• Identify and analyze balancing/memo/base account costs.
• Track costs between different recovery mechanisms.
• Develop 2025 budgets.
• Respond to regulatory data requests.
• Support regulatory filings and audits (internal/external).
• Track financial performance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: 8-10 years in complex financial analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the SAP System as implemented at SCE.
• Familiarity with SCE financial models.
• Experience using PowerBI for reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in BEX/AFE.
