Job Title: Data Scientist Analyst (hybrid)

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and supporting analytic deliverables to the business. Deliverables include (but are not limited to) sales and business performance reporting, campaign and marketing program analytics, dealer and customer analytics as well as dashboard development or other data visualization to assist with business consumption of insights. Strategic ad hoc analyses to support overall business strategy, day to day business decisions and provide a deeper understanding of business, marketing campaign and customer behavior past and future trends. Work with business partners to identify analytic needs, understand key business challenges and answer key business questions while working with data and analytics team members to deliver insights.

Skills Required

  • Excellent Data Wrangling skills - Ability to query, join, manipulate data (e.g., create new variables as needed), automate processes.
  • Experience analyzing business and marketing program performance (e.g., response, sales, incremental sales, net profit, customer profiling), ad hoc exploratory analyses, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, Qlik (dashboarding), GCP, Big Query and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in sales, business, and program reporting
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Customer Analytics, Customer Experience Analytics, Program Analytics
  • Ability to develop and support Business Performance Metrics and Reporting (BPR)
  • Familiarity with automotive service and parts business (not required)
  • Experience meeting with clients directly to understand business needs and discuss findings.
  • Ability to organize findings for business consumption create PowerPoints containing graphs and insights
  • Ability to present findings to the client and in team meetings

Skills Preferred

  • Experience with complex problem solving – data manipulation, data quality, statistical analysis and/or reporting.
  • Highly proficient utilizing SQL and Alteryx, tableau, Qlik, etc. to manipulate, arrange, query, visualize and present data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all management and organizational levels
  • Team player able to collaborate across departments and skill sets to meet client deliverables
  • Ability to respond in an effective and timely manner
  • Subject matter expert in an analytics specialty
  • BA / BS or advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Econometrics or Computer Science, Analytics, Finance, etc.
  • Min 5-year experience+ as analyst
  • Inventive and quick learner, with the ability to efficiently seek out, learn, and apply new areas of expertise, as needed
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English) -Strategic and clear thinking to translate discreet and sophisticated ideas to get results
  • Attention to detail with a strong drive to enforce common standards
  • Demonstrated acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral, and personal value

Experience Required: 5+ years in analytics

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $115,500 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
