Job Summary: Raizan Solutions, a recruitment agency, is looking for a Payroll Supervisor for their client in Federal Way, WA. This role supervises the payroll team, ensuring smooth and accurate processing of multi-state payrolls. The Payroll Supervisor is also responsible for handling specialized payroll tasks (e.g., severance payments, bonuses), maintaining compliance with payroll laws, and overseeing internal audit controls. They will collaborate closely with other departments and play a key role in improving payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Oversee audit controls and system maintenance with the Payroll Support Team.
  • Enforce payroll deadlines and review processes for accuracy and compliance.
  • Train and mentor Payroll Coordinators, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Review and validate payroll metrics and reports for accuracy.
  • Manage year-end payroll functions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Teammate Management:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the payroll team.
  • Handle recruitment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and deliver training to keep team members up-to-date on policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, as well as other relevant regulations.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
  • Supervisory experience in payroll management.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and payroll systems (experience with Workday and PeopleNet is a plus).
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance.
